AI Director in one sentence
AI Director organizes short-drama production into five reviewable stages: script → characters → storyboard images → storyboard videos → final video. Once you select a script, CreateDream automatically prepares the character, storyboard-image, and storyboard-video prompts. Generate or choose the media you like, then combine the shots in order.
The fastest path to a finished video
1. Enter one story idea
Open AI Director, choose a suggested topic, or type a direction with a protagonist, place, central event, and emotion.
Example: A photographer with amnesia meets a stranger who recognizes her at a rainy railway station. Within one minute, they discover an old photograph that changes their fate. Restrained mystery, cinematic tone.
Script generation defaults to General, with a complete story structure and independently maintained settings. Choose Short Story for a compact first project or Long Story for a longer format.
2. Generate and select the script
Send the idea and review the generated script. Check the characters, scenes, dialogue, and ending, then choose Select as Script.
This is the key shortcut: after confirmation, CreateDream analyzes the script and automatically generates the prompts needed for characters, storyboard images, and storyboard videos.
3. Generate character images
Open Characters, review each appearance prompt, select an aspect ratio, and generate images. Set the best result as the current character image. Keep age, hair, outfit, body shape, and visual style consistent; previous generations remain available in history.
4. Generate storyboard images
Open Storyboard Images. The shots and linked characters are already prepared from the script. Generate each image and check identity, location, framing, and continuity. If one shot is weak, regenerate only that shot.
5. Generate storyboard videos
Open Storyboard Videos and choose a method per shot:
- Storyboard image to video uses the selected storyboard image as the first frame.
- Reference assets to video uses character and other references when consistency is the priority.
Review the prepared video prompt, add motion, camera direction, or pacing if needed, and generate. When several versions exist, set the version that should be used in the final cut.
6. Compose the final video
Open Final Video, confirm shot order and selected versions, then choose Compose Final Video. CreateDream combines the clips in storyboard order and provides the finished video for preview and download.
A beginner-friendly strategy
- Start with 30–60 seconds and 3–6 shots.
- Use one main location and one or two principal characters.
- Accept the first script structure and edit only story-critical lines.
- Give each shot one primary action.
- Finish a complete first cut, then regenerate only weak characters or shots.
Common questions
Why is there no finished video immediately after selecting the script?
Prompt preparation is automatic. Media generation consumes credits and still requires your confirmation. After the storyboard videos are ready, compose them in Final Video.
How do I revise the story?
Edit and save the selected script. Regenerating downstream prompts can replace existing prompts and media references, so confirm before replacing a version you want to keep.
How do I keep characters consistent?
Select a strong character image before generating storyboards, reuse it across shots, and avoid redefining the character's appearance in every shot prompt.
Can I redo only one shot?
Yes. Character images, storyboard images, and storyboard videos retain history. Regenerate one item, set the preferred version as current, and compose again.
